Dr. Alan Wolfelt from the Center for Loss and Life Transition in Fort Collins, Colorado received many requests to comment on a new book that questions the usefulness of grief counseling.  In response, he prepared a statement which you can download in its entirety here.  As he states, it's the "old debate: the art of caring for people in grief versus the supposed science of bereavement."

ESPN Shines the Spotlight on Camp Erin

Great profile piece about Camp Erin and Jamie Moyer.  View it here.Gorgeous camera work and of course touching stories about children coping with their grief.

Jamie Moyer is the legendary professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Philadelphia Phillies.  His family started the Moyer Foundation and, as he states in the video, one of his proudest accomplishments is Camp Erin which has a nationwide network of bereavement camps.  The ESPN video tells the story of how Jamie met Erin Metcalf and her family back when he was a pitcher with the Seattle Mariners and how their encounter changed not only his family's lives, but now the lives of thousands of grieving children across our country.
