Children's Grief Awareness

CGAM 2021 Banner

The National Alliance for Children's Grief is committed to serving as a catalyst for leading a national movement to educate, advocate and raise awareness about the needs of grieving children, teens, and their families.  This November, in observance of Children's Grief Awareness Month, we are focusing on school support.

With our members across the United States, we advocate for supportive conversations in this critical moment where a child's life is changed forever. We hope you will join us!

Ways to Show Your Support!

  • Talk to your School: Attend the school board, meet with your superintendent, engage your local principal.  Share the toolkit with them and encourage them to take one action this month in support of students who are grieving in your community.

  • Share success stories: If you use the tools successfully, share your insights with the Alliance so everyone can be encouraged and benefit from them.  Use the Facebook group or email us and we will share!

  • Attend the 2021 Virtual Fall Conference and encourage your school partners to do so also.

  • Each member engaging their community in this conversation will create substantial change. The NACG staff team is here to support you - reach out and ask for what you need to be successful!

  • Together we will make a difference this November.
