When Someone Dies: Activity Cards for Young Children

Preschool Cards CGAM Preview
LAUNCHING DECEMBER 2021!

When Someone Dies: Activity Cards for Young Children is a deck of activities to support caregivers and preschoolers in talking about death and dying through activities.  Contained within the cards are activities for young children designed to help them better express, understand, and cope with their grief. Each page also offers guidance about how adults can connect with their child on the very difficult subjects of death, dying, and bereavement.

Each activity card has both a visual prompt and detailed instructions for the caregiver.  The deck also includes tips for the caregiver on how to connect with their child on the very difficult subjects of death, dying, and bereavement.

These cards were created by members of the NACG and this project honors the children who are grieving.  The experience of professionals working with them inspired the creation of these cards in the hopes that no child will ever feel alone in their grief.
