The Austin Center for Grief and Loss provides grief and trauma services to adults and children (3-17). Support groups for children who have experienced the death of a loved one are ongoing and meet twice monthly in the evening. Children's groups are divided by age in order to provide developmentally appropriate materials. Adult groups meet concurrently with the children's groups and are divided by the relationship of the loss. All new group members must participate in an orientation/intake session prior to attending their first group session. Grief and trauma therapy is also offered for individuals and families on a fee basis. Workshops, seminars, and retreats are offered for parents, leaders of faith-based groups, educational personnel, and professional counselors and social workers.

Bo's Place is a non-profit bereavement center offering grief support services to children, families and adults. All grief supports groups are offered free of charge. Our groups are overseen by Bo's Place clinicians and led by trained volunteer facilitators. Bo's Place offers an Information and Referral Line with clinicians answering call and inquiries about Bo's Place services and other community grief support resources. Also offer support for concerned individuals wanting guidance as to how to support the bereaved. Bo's Place also offers Community Education and Training opportunities for professionals and volunteers working to support those in grief.

For 25 years, The Christi Center has provided free, ongoing grief support services to Central Texans adjusting to life after the death of a loved one. We impact over 3,000 grieving children, teens and adults annual through support groups and community education on grief and bereavement. We connect grieving families with others who have experienced loss of a similar nature through peer-based support groups (we offer 21 groups a month). We also offer information/referral, crisis intervention to communities (schools, businesses, churches, etc.) that have experienced a significant loss, as well as training/education on grief and bereavement. All of our services are open-ended and free of charge to families who are grieving.

Rays of Hope Children’s Grief Centre is a community outreach of HospiceMidland. We provide peer support groups for children 4 years to 18 years who have experienced a loss due to death, divorce or other painful transition. Our goal at Rays of Hope is to provide a safe, neutral place for children to engage in the work of grief with their peers. It is our hope that children will be supported in understanding and accepting their new family unit, grow a stronger sense of self-esteem, and move towards healthy resolution of the changes that have taken place in their lives.

The mission of The WARM Place is to provide grief support for children ages 3 ½ - 18 and their families as well as young adults 19-25 who have experienced the death of a loved one. Founded in 1989, The WARM Place has companioned over 38,000 children and their families along their grief journeys. The WARM Place’s program, led by trained volunteers, provides a safe environment for children to express feelings and emotions, as well as the opportunity to meet with children and families who are experiencing situations similar to their own. Families are never charged a fee for services, and there are no geographical limitations or time limits. Families are welcome to participate as long as the children are receiving benefit from the program.

Camp Courage is a three-day, two-night camp for children ages third through 12th grade who have suffered the loss of a loved one through death, divorce, separation, incarceration or deployment. Children participate in recreational activities that promote self-esteem, encourage self-healing, and provide an outlet for unexpressed emotions. In addition, with the help of specially trained counselors, campers develop healthy coping skills as a result of the variety of grief exercises offered, which ultimately help build trust and an understanding of the grief process.
