Camp Erin is a free, weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Camp Erin is led by grief support professionals and trained volunteers.

The Bereavement Services department of Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center provides bereavement support to families who experience the death of a child or young adult.  Bereavement services are provided through StarShine Hospice, our pediatric hospice program, integrated into the Palliative Care Team and part of the overall services provided throughout the medical center.

Companions on a Journey Grief Support (COJ) provides ongoing support for bereaved children, teens, adults and families. COJ offers school-based bereavement groups as well as grief specific support groups assisting every type of loss including; spouse, parent, sibling, child, infant (including miscarriage), friends and those whose loved ones died by suicide or murder.

Cornerstone of Hope Bereavement Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support, education and hope to grieving people of all ages   All of our programs are facilitated by Master’s level, licensed clinicians.  Services include: individual counseling, art therapy, twenty different support groups that meet weekly (ie – kids groups, infant loss groups, military loss groups, accidental overdose groups, murder loss groups, suicide loss groups and more).  In addition, we host 4 children’s grief camps in the summer, as well as monthly programing for bereaved families.  We hold programs for National Infant Loss Day, Children’s Grief Awareness Day, National Hospice Month, and other events. Our camps and groups are all offered free of charge.

In addition to our office in Cleveland, we provide services at two urban community centers. Please call the main Cleveland number to access those locations.

Fernside is a non-profit organization offering support and advocacy to grieving families who have experienced a death. Fernside offers peer support for grieving families - children, teens and adults. Fernside works to increase community awareness of grief issues through the community. Fernside is an affiliate of Hospice of Cincinnati. All Fernside services are offered free of charge.

Good Grief of NW Ohio provides free peer support groups for children and teens who have had a death impact their lives.
