Brighter Days Grief Center is a Minnesota nonprofit providing support to anyone anticipating or coping with the death of a beloved family member. Our unique model of care provides children, teens, young adults and their families access to free services, resources, and peer-based programs, activities, and events. Our focus encompasses the logistical, psycho social and financial aspects of grief by collaborating with other grief and caregiver-related organizations. We work closely with schools, funeral homes, hospices and community leaders to ensure that families have the most compassionate and accessible care available to them.

Camp Erin is a free, weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Camp Erin is led by grief support professionals and trained volunteers.

We operate grief camps that provide an encouraging environment and support network to families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant friend.  Our program provides opportunities for families to meet other families whose loved one has died and to share feelings and memories as well as all the typical fun camp activities.  Our Community Grief Connection Program offer schools consultation and education following a school crisis and also speakers for groups and organizations on general grief education.

Girls Rise Up

Girls Rise Up, a new initiative offered by the Twin Cities-based non-profit She Climbs Mountains, serves girls ages 8-18 who have experienced mother loss through death. Through a mentor program in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities and social gatherings, Girls Rise Up is committed to encouraging girls to explore the myriad of emotions and experiences that accompany the loss of a mother in a safe and supportive environment.
