Brighter Days Grief Center is a Minnesota nonprofit providing support to anyone anticipating or coping with the death of a beloved family member. Our unique model of care provides children, teens, young adults and their families access to free services, resources, and peer-based programs, activities, and events. Our focus encompasses the logistical, psycho social and financial aspects of grief by collaborating with other grief and caregiver-related organizations. We work closely with schools, funeral homes, hospices and community leaders to ensure that families have the most compassionate and accessible care available to them.

Camp Erin® is a free bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. Led by bereavement professionals and caring volunteers, campers are provided a safe environment to explore their grief, learn essential coping skills, and make friends with peers who are also grieving.

Program Description for NAGC Organizational Members
Being with Grief offers a full grief support program including children's grief support (ages 8-18) based upon The Grief Recovery Institutes program entitled, When Children Grieve. This is a 6 week educational program designed to be conducted with the child's parent or guardian that explains and helps children understand how to deal with death, divorce, pet loss, moving and other losses that they will experience.

Good Grief Parenting provides support in a virtual setting for parents who are raising young children while grieving the death of a child. We specialize in parenting bereaved siblings through the formative early childhood years, birth-age 10. Good Grief Parenting offers the See Your Way Forward After Child Loss program, parent coaching, and a virtual parent support community. Believing that childhood is the best time to learn healthy coping skills for dealing with life’s losses, we offer training and workshops to equip caring adults who want to help the youngest of grievers through sibling loss or other types of grief.

We operate grief camps that provide an encouraging environment and support network to families who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, grandparent or other significant friend. Our program provides opportunities for families to meet other families whose loved one has died and to share feelings and memories as well as all the typical fun camp activities. Our Community Grief Connection Program offer schools consultation and education following a school crisis and also speakers for groups and organizations on general grief education.

The Grief Club of Minnesota is a community based nonprofit organization passionate about limiting barriers to professional grief support and is dedicated to creating awareness and support for grieving children, teens, and their families. Girls Rise Up, a new initiative offered by the Twin Cities-based non-profit She Climbs Mountains, serves girls ages 8-18 who have experienced mother loss through death. Through a mentor program in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities and social gatherings, Girls Rise Up is committed to encouraging girls to explore the myriad of emotions and experiences that accompany the loss of a mother in a safe and supportive environment.
