To assist in creating a safe culture in southern Idaho, where children and teenagers, ages 6 through 17, who have experienced the death of someone they care about, can share their feelings of grief and loss, including grief experienced in preparation for these losses, with their peers and supportive adult volunteer advocates as they progress toward eventual healing on their journey through grief.

Because Kids Grieve collaborates with Eluna to provide Camp Erin for all South Idaho communities. Camp Erin is a free, weekend bereavement camp for youth who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Children and teens ages 6 to 17 attend a weekend camp experience that combines grief education and emotional support with fun, traditional camp activities. In addition, follow-up activities and event are held by Because Kids Grieve.

Willow Center is a children’s bereavement support program that assists children and teens, ages 3-18 yrs., and their adult caregivers.  Peer support groups are coordinated by mental health professionals and trained volunteers, and are offered year round, meeting twice a month in Lewiston, ID and Pullman, WA.  The Willow Center, in partnership with The Moyer Foundation, also provides Camp Erin, a weekend children’s (ages 6 – 17 yrs.) bereavement camp that combines traditional camp activities with grief education and emotional support. The Center also offers grief resources, education, supportive services, community presentations and consultation to families, care givers and the community at-large to facilitate healthy grieving and healing to those in need.
