Bereavement support for children and families after death including but not limited to peer support groups for loss from suicide and homicide. Mentoring activities to build stronger connections to community resources and events. Crisis interventions for children, families, schools, and businesses after deaths from suicide, homicide, or other violent deaths. All of these services are free. While most of our participants have losses from deaths, we also offer peer support groups for children separated from a parent due to domestic violence, incarceration, abandonment, or living in out-of-home placements, addressing both grief from parent loss and trauma from abuse, neglect, or witnessing violence. Currently, all groups are online with plans to conduct in-person groups with fewer children as vaccinations increase in our state. All staff and volunteers are required to be vaccinated.
