NAGC Founders' Volunteer Award

The Founders' Volunteer Award is given annually to one individual who has made a significant contribution to the field of children’s grief support as a volunteer. This award was instituted in 2015 and named for the NAGC founders, who provided vision and leadership, and dedicated countless volunteer hours to make the National Alliance for Grieving Children a reality. The recipient of the Founder’s Volunteer Award will be a guest of the NAGC (airline ticket, and one night hotel provided) at the Annual Symposium on Childhood Grief in San Antonio, Texas, where he or she will receive the award (June 29, 2018).

Please note: Nominations must be made by a current member of the NAGC. Nominations must be submitted by February 28, 2018. The person being nominated must be able to travel to and attend the NAGC Symposium on June 29, 2018. This nomination will be considered active through June 2021. So, there is no need to re-nominate this individual until after this date. Please submit no more than three letters of support in addition to the nomination letter. Candidates for this award DO NOT have to be an NAGC member.

NAGC Excellence in Service Award

The NAGC Excellence in Service Award is given annually to one professional working in the field of childhood bereavement who has made a significant contribution to the childhood bereavement support field as a whole. The recipient of the NAGC Excellence in Service Award will be a guest of the NAGC (airline ticket, and one night hotel provided) at the 22nd Annual Symposium on Childhood Grief in San Antonio, TX in June, where he or she will receive the award (June 29, 2018).

Please note: Nominations must be made by a current member of the NAGC. Nominations must be submitted by February 28, 2018. The person being nominated must be able to travel to and attend the NAGC Symposium on June 29, 2018. This nomination will be considered active through June 2021.
