To Open or Not to Open? Navigating the Camp Opening Decision in the Time of COVID
May 21, 2020 | 2:00 p.m. Eastern | 11:00 a.m. Pacific (1.0 hours)
Sara Deren, CEO of Experience Camps for Grieving Children, will share the risk analysis and considerations that lead to the difficult decision to not open their 10, one-week programs around the country this summer. She'll share key questions and a framework for evaluating primary factors, including: Can we open, should we open, and how do we open? And, in the case where a camp chooses not to open, how to effectively communicate the decision to stakeholders and begin to shift gears to a reimagined, virtual program.
