Presentation Description
Throughout the past two years, StoryCorps has piloted Road to Resilience, a project to record, preserve and share the stories of kids and families in grief. Please join as we unveil a set of free online resources designed for organizations interested in incorporating storytelling into their own programs. During this session we will walk through our new digital resources, including interview techniques and methods, age-appropriate questions, kid-friendly animations, discussion guides, best practices, and resource lists.
About the Presenters
Maura Johnson, Community Training Specialist
Maura Johnson is the Community Training Specialist at StoryCorps. In her role, she helps organizations to create storytelling and recording projects in their communities. She leads trainings with program partners across the U.S., including healthcare providers, libraries and other community organizations. In addition, Maura supports StoryCorps' Road to Resiliency: Memories that Move Us Forward, a program designed to leverage the power of stories and storytelling to help children cope with the death of a parent, sibling, or loved one.
Modupeola Oyebolu, National Facilitator
Modupeola Oyebolu is a National Facilitator at StoryCorps, a national nonprofit dedicated to preserving and sharing humanity’s stories. In her role, she has the honor of holding space for people of all backgrounds to share their stories, and to connect with the people in their lives. She also works on StoryCorps’ Road to Resiliency: Memories that Move Us Forward, a program designed to support children, their families and the bereavement centers who care for them, through storytelling.
