The National Alliance for Grieving Children (NAGC) is pleased to announce its collaboration with the New York Life Foundation to expand grief support services to at-risk youth across the country. The Grief Reach program, made possible by a $750,000 grant from the New York Life Foundation, seeks to help providers overcome barriers to bringing grief support services to youth from communities not served by existing bereavement programs – often in low-income areas.
Over the next two years, 22 grants ranging in size from $5,000 to $100,000 will be awarded to bereavement organizations through a Request for Proposal (RFP). Applications will be accepted online from May 18 – July 25, 2011. Decisions will be announced in September, which is Life Insurance Awareness Month. For more information about the application and Webinars on this RFP, please go to to Grants:Grief Reach section of the website.
